Senior PHP Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with at least 9 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in PHP development, particularly with popular frameworks such as Drupal, WordPress, and CodeIgniter. Additionally, the candidate should have a working knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM) for effective tag implementation and management.

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving complex web applications, ensuring high performance, and delivering scalable solutions for our projects. You will also be involved in managing end-to-end project lifecycles and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and relevant frameworks (Drupal, WordPress)
  • Work with plugins to customize and extend website functionality. 
  • Proficiency in Notion or Jira workspace for project management and documentation.
  • Apply UX design principles to ensure user-friendly and intuitive web experiences.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and security across all web applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (designers, project managers, etc.) to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, including Google Tag Manager, and manage custom tags, triggers, and analytics implementations.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize web applications for speed and scalability.
  • Stay updated on new PHP trends and best practices to ensure efficient development and future-proof solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers, review code, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Handle database management and data manipulation using MySQL or similar relational databases.
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Participate in project planning, estimations, and architecture discussions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead Agile development sprints using Jira or Notion for project planning, task assignment, and progress tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in PHP development.
  • Proficiency in frameworks such as Drupal, WordPress.
  • Good understanding of UX design and principles, with a focus on creating user-friendly applications.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation and tag management.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing web servers and database servers.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
